my

I needed a fresh start.
A blank canvas

In 2013, following a series of unexpected events, life began to feel like a cluttered mess. A million broken pieces. And I realized that healing, for me at least, wasn’t going to be found behind a camera

Mixed media became a tangible way of bringing the fragmented layers of my own life together into a meaningful whole. Torn scraps of fabric, newspaper clippings, postage stamps, yellowed playing cards- they tenderly spoke to me as I layered paper and paint. Giving new life and fresh meaning to things old and discarded. Nothing too old or faded.

Mixed media helped me discover my voice, a tool for carving out my space in the shared journey we call life. We’re all broken pieces. But together, the layers of our lives become a beautiful masterpiece.
